Love Letter to a Character: Stormlight Archive - Adolin Kholin

Dear Adolin Kholin,

I have DEEPLY enjoyed your presence so far in the first two books in Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive: The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance. You've taken on a much bigger role in Words of Radiance and I hope this trend continues... I won't get too attached though. After all, I am reading Sanderson.

Your floozy ways may have some label you as a dog... and you are. But you're of the sweet, affable golden retriever variety.

Even with your silly himbo ways, you're not an idiot. You know your strengths and weaknesses. You have stepped up to fulfill your family's needs stunningly.

You also know to keep the good ones close to you. Though you initially spurned Kaladin, I adore the budding friendship I see growing between the two of you. Before you met Shallan in person, you were apprehensive of this potential betrothal. But your intrigue has turned rapidly into a protective adoration. We've already seen the protective side create the first friction between you, but I trust one or both of you will figure that out.

Will I continue to enjoy the pleasure of your character through the rest of this series? Where will these relationships that you're building go?

I'm sure, since you're a leader, I expect I will see you fall in a devastating, possibly even tragic way. I'm going to remain hopeful though. You don't seem like strife will keep you down for long. I hope I continue to see you develop, and frankly, I'd like your only powers to be your loyalty, humor, dueler's abilities, and your skills as a Shardbearer. I see those closest to you all having extraordinary abilities possibly making you carve your own unique path to be exceptional in your own right. See in you in (will I?) Oathbringer bud. You're doing great.

July Summerween Extravaganza
For me, summer has always been too long. The childhood wonder of it lingers no more and you’ll only find me at the beach if someone else has begged me to go. The sun seems to never go down. For me, this isn’t a positive experience. How am I supposed
